Casual Family

f/5, 1/160, 100 ISO, 28mm, AB800

f/5, 1/160, 100 ISO, 30mm, AB800
I'll be the 1st to admit that family shots are not my strong point! I really just like the casual, laid back approach, where I can just let them interact how they normally would! This family was perfect for that! The little 4 yo was a blast, he had such personality and was sooo cooperative that I was amazed. I think I'm so used to my nearly 4 yo who has the photographers child syndrome, lol.
Both of these conversion were done with in the ACR program! I am just starting to delve into the conversion of RAW files. I've been shooting RAW for sometime but just did the basic adjustments and all the rest in PS as a jpg. I love learning all the time!

Another plug for a fellow photographer!
Okay this girl, she's amazing and so young! (it secretly makes me jealous that she is so talented at such a young age! ;) )
Anyhow she decided to share her workflow with the world, check out her actions for Photoshop here... http://www.wynonarobison.com/actions.html
Here are some of my own examples using them!
Her cross processing set!

And her 4 season's set!

From a get together with about 7 other photographers! This couple graciously modeled for us! It proved to be difficult, as you can see there is conflicting eye contact as they didn't know which camera to look towards! Oh well, I still liked the pics!

The Baby James Project

Last summer a fellow photographer suffered a terrible loss! Her long awaited baby James was born stillborn on the day he was supposed to be delivered. She has been trying to raise stillbirth awareness and a stillbirth prevention technique called kick counting! Please click on the banner above or the small one on my sidebar to find out more information and help spread the awareness!

f/4.5, 1/1250, 100 ISO, 75mm She shoots, she scores!
We just wrapped up soccer season! Wow what a difference a year makes! She finally scored her 1st goal in outdoor soccer and she never looked back scoring several this season. She finally got in on the action, started to learn how to play a position, and most of all had lots of fun! We bribed her with ice cream cones so needless to say after all those goals this season we were at the ice cream shop ALOT!!!
Great memories!

I've been trying out some texturing lately! Some I really end up liking and other's not so much! It is a fun technique to learn though!
